Joint Area Meet & Greet – Worthing, West Sussex 26.01.22
It was wonderful to meet some new Sisters at our Joint Area Meet & Greet in Worthing, West Sussex on Wednesday 26 January 2022. It was great for us all to see we are part of something bigger than just one circle, and we wish them all a huge welcome to The Goddess Foundation.
With the current surge of women in need of circles such as ours, and given how many of us have different needs since the Covid situation, it was important to us to find out what you are all looking for rather than just carry on as before. We are working on that feedback, and meanwhile have listed out some of the responses from the evening for you all to see. Don't forget though, what happens in your circle will be down to you all to decide.
We will now be working with those who attended the evening, to get the circles up and running. Please do join us on Facebook 'Goddess Foundation UK’ to keep track of the progress and to make comment should you choose, or feel free to contact us at anytime by email or the contact form on this website, whether you were part of this meeting or live elsewhere.
Anyone is welcome to use the contact form on this website to send us your thoughts about Goddess Circles; why and what you would expect from one, what activities you would expect, and if you want help to start one in a different area.

We asked: Why do you want to be part of a Goddess Circle?
- To be with other like minded souls in a world where comparison culture, gossip, and other not so nice things happen amongst women. The negativity and cynicism seems worse since Covid.
- To learn, share, discover things about myself with other women in a safe space to grow.
- Learn more about the spiritual path.
- To connect with my inner self, to take time out to focus.
- Sisterhood. Spiritual growth. To be part of making the world a better place. Connection with each other, spirit and Mother Earth.
- Connection. Community of Women. Bring Goddess alive for more people. Seasonal ceremonies and celebrations. Networking.
- Developing spiritually. Working with the sabbats, seasons and moon cycles. Meeting like minded people.
- To learn and share spirituality and skills, and for Sisterhood.
- Meeting other people interested in a similar path. Learning new things. Celebrating the seasons. Being part of something.
- I want to be part of the circle to increase my knowledge of all things spiritual, and have a safe space to go and download.
- To support women. To work with Goddess. To have a network of like minded people in my life. To go to workshops and experience new things.
- I want to develop my spirituality, to meet new friends, and to learn more about Paganism.
- To keep spiritual practice in the forefront of my mind and to learn.
- I would like to know what this movement is about in more detail.
- Collaboration and Sisterhood of women coming together. Knowledge and experience.

A little more info about how a Goddess Circle runs.
The website is being updated and you will find more detailed information when uploaded, but basically each circle has a co-ordinator who keeps everything on track; reminds of dates, keeps track of the subs, keeps track of the diary dates and keeps everyone in touch with each other etc. This role can be shared with another person, or taken in turns quarterly/annually or whatever you decide together. Then each Goddess Circle session that happens needs a facilitator to lead the evening. Again this role can be carried out alone, or shared with one or more people - but once you are all settled and have an idea of how it all works, it's great if it's someone different each time. You may have one person that is particularly good at meditation each month, or learn and share that role. No pressure at all on anyone who doesn't want to, but it can be very empowering if you feel you can lead, even a part, of a Goddess Circle. Not forgetting this is all done in a supportive Sisterhood, where we can not only hold safe space for our sharing circle and share wisdom, but be supportive as we each learn, raise our self-esteem, confidence and re-discover our Inner Goddess. To explore that empowered, strong woman each of us has inside of us.
The Goddess Foundation is a voluntary organisation, so we keep everything as cheaply as we can to make it affordable for everyone, and the circles the same. Obviously there is a cost to all things, so if a hired room is used, or if materials are needed, these costs have to be covered. We also ask for just £1 per person per session towards The Goddess Foundation general costs. If a circle is held in each other's homes, what you each pay and how that is used is down to you all to decide together.
In better weather, it’s great to have your Goddess Circle outside somewhere; garden, beach, woodland or even a park. The social aspect is great when you have a new circle of friends to meet up with for coffee, or phone in between Circles if you choose to. Laughter is also very empowering and uplifitng, so don’t forget to bring laughter into your Circles.
Suggested worksheets are being produced to go on the website to give ideas and suggestions for celebrations and learning. Your contributions are very welcome.
Updates will be promoted on Facebook.
